For the first time at this race in the last few years, competitors where greeted with a mild morning -no wind- no rain and about 14C . Nice big race turn out around the 500

Lots of efs Rats making this the first of their season even tho there was no swim being a Duathlon .

It was also a Australian Qualifier race for the 2018 Duathlon Worlds team.

Into the race divisions, pretty close first run , then bike gaps started to appear and it was easy to see by the 2nd run leg who had been training thru winter. ( no names -you had to be there)

Heaps of podiums with a 1st ,2nd, 2 x 3rds and how about this ---4 x 7th (what are the odds there)
